A Life Full of Problems and Surprises
#A tale of a man navigating through numerous challenges and surprises#
There was no one in the house, so I thought this was the right time to easily complete my work. Once more, I wanted to check the house again. Went to the door, closed it, and thoroughly checked the 3 BHK house. Yes, confirmed no one was there.
I was still pondering whether I could do it or not, but there was no option in my hands right now. Slowly, I went to the kitchen, picked up a knife, and returned to the room. I then went to the storeroom, retrieved a dusty rope, but I had to do it. Carrying it back to the room, I took apart the cupboard and found a small bottle of sleeping tablets.
I arranged all three items in front of me, contemplating my choices.
Yes, I had no other option " I have to do Suicide"
My name is Arjun " this is my house . I came from a middle class family, i tried to fight with my destiny and now I am fed up I don’t have other options and i don’t have time, another 2 hours my family will come back while I have to die”.
In my school days, life was enjoyable and fulfilling. However, things took a turn for the worse when I had to discontinue my studies due to my family’s financial struggles. My father faced significant losses in his business, leaving us unable to afford my education. I began working to support the family, managing to complete only my schooling and intermediate education. With limited job opportunities and a need to contribute financially, I found myself working in restaurants. Each month, I sent a portion of my earnings back home, while using the remaining amount to pursue further education up to the degree standard.
I forgot to mention a significant aspect of my life – Neha. We share a deep love, and despite the awareness of our differing family backgrounds, with her coming from a more affluent and reputed family, love has proven to be blind, overlooking these distinctions.
After somehow managing to complete my degree, the real struggle began when aspiring for higher studies. Financial constraints hindered my ability to relocate to a big city, covering rent and education fees. Contemplating a pause in my educational journey, my love opposed the idea. In a heartwarming gesture, she offered to support financially, affirming her commitment to our shared dreams.
With her unwavering support, I ventured to the city of Vizag with the intention of pursuing higher studies. Simultaneously, she enrolled in a prominent college to further her education. Despite providing me financial assistance, she managed to balance the expenses of her textbooks and daily life without compromising on her aspirations.
Balancing part-time jobs and studies became increasingly challenging, exacerbated by growing family issues. In my second year, a distressing call informed me of my mother’s declining health, prompting a dilemma between prioritizing studies or returning home to support my family. With the encouragement of my family, I found the strength to persevere, successfully completing my post-graduation. Yet, as I triumphed academically, my personal challenges continued to escalate in tandem.
Completing her B.Tech, she geared up to join a prominent company. However, her parents, seeking a suitable match, found someone deemed fitting for their family. Despite their awareness of her love for me, their reluctance prevailed. Undeterred, she valiantly fought for our relationship, persuading her parents to give me a chance. They set a condition – acceptance of our marriage hinged on me securing a job within the next six months. The clock ticking, the ultimatum added a layer of complexity to our commitment.
As the last day of the six-month deadline approaches, I reflect on an arduous journey. Despite relentless efforts and numerous interviews, job opportunities have remained elusive. The obstacle lies in the perception of my distance education degree – a focus on certificates rather than recognizing my capabilities and talents. The impending deadline adds pressure to an already challenging situation.
From my childhood, she was my only source of happiness. But one day, due to time and family problems, I couldn’t justify my feelings to my parents, and I found myself unable to express my love. I’m torn about what to do; I cannot bear this pain. Throughout my life, I’ve lost so many things, but “I am not ready to leave my love. death is the only option for me”.
How can I kill myself ?Tablets are an easy way to kill me but if I am alive though I swallow tablets how can I know. I should see myself dying and rope is best but is it giving so much pain ?and yes it is ! Nooooo.........What about a knife? no. I will be unconscious after seeing blood . So it’s better tables are the better way of killing myself.
still it is only one hour and Arjun makes it fast "
with a lot of fear I picked tablets and water !
Suddenly, the doorbell rang. Was it my parents or someone else? Filled with fear, I quickly opened the door, only to find my parents standing there. "Why did you come home early, Dad?" I inquired.
They explained that the marriage was canceled, prompting their early return. Confused, I asked, "Why did that happen?"
The bride eloped with someone, but thankfully, we had already completed the wedding feast. "Arjun, haven’t you slept?" asked my father. "Yeah, Daddy, I just woke up now!" I replied.
"Go and sleep," my father insisted. "You have another interview tomorrow, so get a good night’s rest." Reluctantly, I went to my room, but my mind was filled with thoughts, making it difficult to sleep. Early in the morning, my father woke me up for the upcoming interview.
With a lot of fear, I went to the interview, convinced I couldn’t crack it due to the high salary, numerous rounds, and a scarcity of positions. Despite the long queue outside the gate, I genuinely answered each question from the interviewers. Now, all I could do was wait for the result.
Surprisingly, I got the job, and with a lot of happiness, I headed back home. Reflecting on the experience, I realized that God may not always give us what we want, but He provides what we need at the right time. It’s essential to wait patiently. "Thanks, God," I expressed my gratitude. Upon reaching home, I shared the news with family and girlfriend.
"To be continued.
